Trades you can book

Where we work

Verified tradespeople in Islamabad, Rawalpindi. See where we work.

How booking works

  1. Tell us the job. In the app, pick the trade, tick every problem you need fixed, add a photograph if it helps, and say where and when — now, or at a time you book.
  2. We offer it to verified workers nearby who do that trade and cover your area. If nobody answers, we widen the search, and you can search again with one tap.
  3. You choose your worker. Workers who want the job send an offer with their price, and you compare price, rating and jobs completed before you choose.
  4. You pay when it is finished, once you have confirmed the work is done, and you rate each other.

Booking a job

How does iConnect work?

You post the job in the app: the trade, the problems you need fixed, where you are and when. We offer it to verified tradespeople nearby who do that trade. They send you offers with their price, you choose one, and you pay once you have confirmed the work is finished.

Can I put more than one problem in a job?

Yes. Tick every problem you need fixed in that trade, for example an AC that is not cooling and a gas refill, and they go to the worker as one job. You can add photographs too, which help the worker arrive with the right parts; the app tells you the limits before you post.

Can I book a job for later?

Yes. Choose a day and time when you post it. We start offering the job to workers ahead of time, during the day rather than in the middle of the night, so somebody is lined up before you need them. It sits under Scheduled in your jobs until then.

How do I say where the job is?

Use your current location, pick a saved address, type the address, or move the pin on the map to the exact spot. The worker sees the exact address only once you have chosen them.

How long does it take to find someone?

Most jobs are matched within minutes during working hours. If nobody nearby answers, we widen the search rather than leave you waiting. If still nobody takes it, we tell you, you are charged nothing, and you can search again with one tap.

Can I choose which worker comes?

Yes, from the workers who answer. The job is offered to workers who are verified for that trade, cover your area and are available. Each one who is interested sends an offer, and you see their name, price, rating and how many jobs they have completed before you choose.

Do I need the app?

Yes, to post a job. The app is where you get the offers, choose your worker, see them on the map on their way and pay. You sign in with a code sent by SMS to your Pakistani mobile number. You can ask us anything through the contact form on this website without installing it.

Prices and payment

How much does a job cost?

Each worker who wants the job sends you their price, and you choose. Nothing is charged until you confirm the work is done.

Does iConnect add a fee to my price?

No. Our commission is 0% and it is taken from the worker's side of the job. It does not add to the price you were quoted, and it is shown on every receipt.

How do I pay?

You pay in cash once you have confirmed the work is finished, and the receipt shows exactly what was charged.

Cancelling and refunds

Can I cancel a job?

Yes. Cancelling is free at any point up to the moment the worker is on the way. After that a cancellation fee may apply, because somebody has travelled for a job that will not happen. You are always told the amount before you confirm the cancellation, not after. The app asks why you are cancelling, so the worker knows what happened.

What if the work is not right?

Raise it from the job itself. Both sides put their account and any photographs in one place and a member of our staff reads it. The outcome is either that the worker returns and puts it right, a part refund reflecting what was actually done, or a full refund.

How long does a refund take?

Every refund is approved by a person, and one above Rs 5,000 needs a second member of staff to approve it, which is why a large refund can take a day longer than a small one. A refund of a cash payment is transferred to you, as the next answer explains.

I paid in cash. How do I get a refund?

We never held your money, so it has to be transferred to you by hand. We will ask you for an account to send it to, and we do not treat the refund as done until somebody has actually made that transfer and recorded the reference.

Trust and safety

Are the workers verified?

Yes. Nobody can take a job until a person on our team has checked their CNIC and compared their selfie with the photograph on it. That is what verified means here: we have confirmed who they are. It does not mean we have tested their skill or certified them for any trade.

Does a licence come with that?

No. Some electrical, gas and building work needs a licence or certificate under Pakistani law. Holding it is the worker's responsibility, and you are entitled to ask to see it before the work starts.

Who can see my address and phone number?

Only the worker who accepts your job, because they cannot come otherwise. Workers who were offered the job and did not get it see the area and the trade, never your name or address.

What if my property is damaged?

Tell us and raise a dispute so it is on the record. We do not decide who is liable for damage: the work is a contract between you and the worker, and liability is a matter for you, them and where necessary their insurer or a court.

Working with us

How do I join as a tradesperson?

Download the iConnect app and sign in with your mobile number. Choose your trades and the area you work in, scan the front of your CNIC (the app reads your details from it, and you check them), photograph the back and take a selfie. Our team checks them before you can take work, which usually takes a day or two.

What happens when my CNIC runs out?

The app reminds you before it expires. Send photographs of your new card from My documents in the app; our team checks them and you keep working while they do.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. There is no joining fee and no charge for the jobs you are offered. We take 0% commission from the work you actually complete, and nothing else.

When do I get paid?

Your earnings build up as you finish jobs. You ask for a payout whenever you want one, from Rs 1,000 upwards, and a member of our finance team approves it before the transfer is made.

Am I an employee?

No. Everybody who takes work through iConnect is self-employed. You choose which jobs to accept, you quote your own price and you use your own tools. There is no contract of employment between us.

Where we work

Which cities are you in?

The current list is on the coverage page. We switch a city on once there are enough verified workers in it to answer the jobs posted, rather than taking bookings we cannot fill.

You are not in my city yet. What now?

Tell us where you are through the contact form. Knowing where people are asking from is how we decide which city to open next.
